Taiping trip
Taiping is about 1.5 hours drive from Penang Island. So it quite a near place for a short getaway. Not much there but for a leisure trip, we spend 1 night there. 1st thing after we arrive, hotel check-in. Then we go for 1st place which is the Antong Coffee factory since 1933. Location: https://goo.gl/maps/rd3A2owWc5E2. Over here you can have free coffee testing. Next to it is the office where Sun Yat Sen been here during the Kuomintang revolution. We tour around this place and have some coffee. Some props for photograph. Then we went to fill up our tummy at Larut Matang Hawker Centre. Location: https://goo.gl/maps/uXkobGXsLys. Here we try the ice mountain, char koey teow, With tummy recharge, we went to the Taiping lake. There we can easily spend few hours but because it is quite late, so we just walk on the side near to the Taiping Zoo as we are waiting for the night safari which start at 8pm.
