Previous: Day 9 (part 1) - Breakfast at Gwangjang Market and Jongmyo Shrine Tour After a walk at the Jongmyo Shrine, we walk to Changdeokgung Palace. The walk took us about 15 minutes. Jongmyo Shrine just located behind Changdeokgung Palace which from the exit of the Jongmyo entrance, we turn to right and walk along the palace wall. We then soon reach at the traffic light and in front of us is the main gate of the palace. We cross the road and walk towards the palace. We tour around the palace and proceed for the Secret Garden (Huwon) or they do called Biwon. The Huwon is the place where the King and Prince spend their relaxing time here. Some places also for the Prince to study. In the Huwon, we saw a bowl alike stuff as below. It actually the clock use by the royal to check on the time and also season. The clock is so powerful by just using the sunlight, it can tell the exact time and the seasons we are in for the 24 season cycle. Which means we able to see that we are in end of Spri...

Previous: Day 8 (part 2) - Wesak Day Lantern Festival and dinner at Gwangjang Market We sleep quite late today because the guesthouse bed and room is not really comfortable. There are no curtain in the room and this season, the day bright around 5:30AM. Around 6:30AM, it is very bright that we hardly able to sleep with the shine to our room. Also the bed is not really comfortable which make us lack of sleep. Then we wake up around 9:00AM and feel very sleepy. We prepare and walk to Gwangjang Market (Kwangjang Market). This place full of food and traditional stuff. If to buy traditional stuff, we will need to come around after 12PM-6PM. Other than that, they usually close except for the food which open from 9AM-10PM.   The moment we enter the food area, this ahjumma keep calling us to her stall. Previous: Day 8 (part 1) - Mysterious Road (Dokkaebi Road), e-mart and back to Seoul for Gangnam Underground Shopping After some shopping at Gangnam Underground Shopping Center (Express Bus Terminal), we take subway back to our guesthouse. It still early so we take about an hour rest at the guesthouse and watch some local channel airing some Korean variety show. Then we are thinking maybe want to walk to Dongdaemun for shopping and food since it is still early. When we are walking to Dongdaemun, we saw some parade happening at 2 streets away which is Jongno street. We quickly walk over to the street to see what is happening. It was the Wesak Day Lantern parade. I was shock. I did actually plan to visit the Lotus Lantern Festival which was schedule on Sunday (the next following day). After that I only realize that the Lotus Lantern festival continue for 3 days but the Lantern parade only happens today. We were so lucky. This festival also happen once a year. Previous: Day 7 (part 2) - Sangumburi Crater, Manjanggul Cave and Gimnyeong Maze Park After a night horror experience of police road block, it is time to back to Seoul. We sleep quite late today as we are very tired yesterday. We wake up around 8AM and preparing to pack our stuff. We will need to return the car at 12PM and heading to our flight at 1PM. So it is quite rush. We check out at 9:30AM and drive to Mysterious Road (Dokkaebi Road) . So what so special about this road? This place actually quite near to our hotel, which it took about 10 minutes drive only. If you look at the picture below, it looks like going downhill from our end to the white color car there. In fact, it is up hill. Many people around here try to figure out the illusion of this road but hardly able to solve anything. We drove our car to the start point and switch to neutral gear. Previous:  Day 7 (part 1) - Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak and Seopjikoji We had spend almost half day just for the two location. It is noon now and we heading to Sangumburi Crater . This place is a must go place as the view is so nice. Somehow this place also do not have many people come because it is too far. It took us one hour to reach here. We actually driving uphil too. It is so cold up there as the wind keep blowing. The area are so big. We can see the craters and it is fully reserve. This crater were live with deers but we didn't able to see any of them as we are not allow to go down to the crater. We play some "kage bunshin" shot. After that we proceed to go next destination. On the way down, we saw the puzzle board so we decided to play. We took about 10 minutes to solve it. Takda!! Done. We are quite hungry as usually we don't take lunch here. Previous: Day 6 (part 3) - Soesokkak Estuary and dinner at Dombedon This is a must visit place because mostly when people introduce Jeju scenery, Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak often shown in the picture. This unique volcano mountain doesn't explode but still form the shape of explosion volcano. It is 180 meters height. One can spend at least an hour here if hike up to the summit. It is recommended to come in the morning so that we are able to view the entire scenery. It tooks about 1.5 hours of drive. As our car are running out of petrol, we stop by for refill. The petrol here are so expensive. It was 2,000won (RM6) per liter. When we arrive, it was so cold. We took some breakfast from the street foods stall here. There are also lots of tourist from China hanging around here. The weather is just fine but the wind is so cold. We climb about 25 minutes to the summit and this is the view of the Ilchulbong Peak.
