DAY 1: This is my 1st time to Taiwan. Super excited. We took the flight from Penang to Hong Kong via Cathay pacific (about 4 hours), and from Hong Kong to Taiwan (about 2 hours). We went to airport at 5am, and reach Taiwan around 4pm. Upon arrival at Taiwan, we were pick up by our Taiwan tour guide. The bus took us to National Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall. Before we head to the night market, we walk around the temple next to the night market for toilet. So much to eat here and we just bought what ever we can and eat. Taiping is about 1.5 hours drive from Penang Island. So it quite a near place for a short getaway. Not much there but for a leisure trip, we spend 1 night there. 1st thing after we arrive, hotel check-in. Then we go for 1st place which is the Antong Coffee factory since 1933. Location: https://goo.gl/maps/rd3A2owWc5E2. Over here you can have free coffee testing. Next to it is the office where Sun Yat Sen been here during the Kuomintang revolution. We tour around this place and have some coffee. Some props for photograph. Then we went to fill up our tummy at Larut Matang Hawker Centre. Location: https://goo.gl/maps/uXkobGXsLys. Here we try the ice mountain, char koey teow,  With tummy recharge, we went to the Taiping lake. There we can easily spend few hours but because it is quite late, so we just walk on the side near to the Taiping Zoo as we are waiting for the night safari which start at 8pm. Sometime around year 2006, my mom found a small lump on her breast. That was the time when I was on final year of my degree. She told us about that. We had no idea what to do and told her that best if see doctor for further checking. My dad instead of advise her to see doctor, he ask her to go to the temple and ask god. The god mention that she can boil some leaves and drink with the burned paper talisman. It will recover after that. After several attempts for months, it didn’t turn better. So my mom go and seek for alternative source from magazine and books. She found few leaves or grasses that so called proof can cure cancer from others personal experiences. She tried all methods include qi kong, grasses, leaves and burned talisman. My dad told her that a type of direct sales ling zhi mushroom can cure cancer. The scenario turn worst. I encounter an issue that unable to ping to FQDN but able to ping to IP address after setting up a Fortigate firewall. The remote office do not have any DHCP server and DNS server. Therefore I setup the Fortigate 60D as the DHCP and create a IPSec to the HQ office. I then try to perform nslookup on the connected device and notice it provide me the ISP DNS instead of internal DNS. As resolution, go to Network > Interfaces > internal. Edit the internal interfaces and set the DNS server to Specify. Enter the internal DNS server IP.

Accessing from external public IP to Fortigate devices are important especially for remote site. However, this might open up security loop hole for attacker to access to company environment via public IP. Login to Fortigate, navigate to Network > Interfaces > the wan interface > edit. Under Administrative Access > uncheck the HTTPS / HTTP. Also make sure the SSH & SNMP is not checked.
